Review of the Large Universal Adjustable ProClip Holder T3

5 5.0 out of 5 stars. May 9, 2021

Large Universal Adjustable ProClip Holder T3

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, which is a relatively large cell phone. But I keep it in an Otterbox Strada leather case with integrated cover. With the cover folded back behind, the phone assembly is made even thicker and wider.

ProClip personnel specifically recommended this universal holder (T3) by email message. It works GREAT! No problems. It adjusts to be snug, but not too tight. I have used the phone (mostly for the "Maps" feature) several times. With the Pro Clips mount (see my separate review of the Angled Dash Mount--Item 854922--for the Tesla Model X) the phone is in a handy viewing position.

Five stars to Pro Clip for recommending this holder. (Hopefully it will hold up over time with our hot Sacramento, California summers.)

Review of the Angled Dash Mount

4 4.0 out of 5 stars. May 9, 2021

Angled Dash Mount

Installed in April 2020 into a 2021 Tesla Model X.

So far so good. The real test of any plastic product will be its lifespan. Will the plastic fatigue and fail over time due to high summer cabin temperatures? We'll see. If it holds up, say after two or three years, then five stars.

Excluding that factor, the mount performs well. With the phone-holder and large iPhone installed there can be a small amount of central touch-screen visibility loss (in the extreme lower right-hand corner. The mount could be angled and/or extended to the right slightly to reduce that. But no big deal, and it can be overcome, if ever necessary, by simply moving my head.

There were two mount choices for the Model X (similar to Model S)--lower right-hand corner of the car's central touch screen (my choice) and just to the left of the upper left-hand corner of the touch screen. I think I made the right choice for me, as the car's steering wheel might have blocked phone visibility with the second choice.

The mount puts the phone in a handy location. I might have preferred to the right of the upper right-hand corner of the touch screen, but perhaps that is difficult to engineer?

So four stars. I would have actually scored it at 85-95, if allowed.
