I needed to mount the remote head for a Kenwood V71A with a threaded socket on the bottom or top edges. I wanted the mount to be compact, didn't want to fabricate something, and if it worked with my existing ProClip mounts it would be a plus. The ProClip monitor thumb screw mount is the only thing I found that was compact and ready made. Works like a charm, plus I can combine it with extension arms and other holders to pack a lot of equipment in to a tight space.
