Description
This ProClip Center Dash mount is custom-made for your Nissan Frontier starting in 2022 (See below for full list of compatibility). The mount attaches to the dashboard to the left of the center screen. Combine with a ProClip device holder to make a custom mounting solution for your phone or GPS. So, I almost didn't buy this based on the reviews. Here's my take.
First, its a quality piece. Its not a cheap piece of plastic like most holders. Did some of the reviews have merit? Yes, but I'll hit those later. It's a great/perfect fit. Nicely trimmed out. Haven't had it long, so cant speak to the life expectancy, but I can say the durability out of the box feels outstanding. It's a little pricey, yes. But when you consider the frequency of replacing the junk ones, My opinion? It's worth it.
I have one little piece of advice for ProClip. The vertical extension to solve the clearance problem seems a little cheesy. The Nissan vent mount bracket is tall enough that if the pre-drilled holes were slightly higher on the bracket (just under an inch) it will clear everything unless the driver tilts the wheel straight up so he can drive like an 18 wheel truck driver :<)
While I'm sure I voided my warranty, I took a drill bit the exact same size as the predrilled holes and made new ones using the iphone holder as a template. PERFECT!! No clearance issues!!!
It was hot today, and I understand the review about blocking the vent. AGAIN.....since I had already voided my warranty, The bracket is very sturdy!!! So after relocating the pre-drilled holes, I made the old predrilled holes bigger, added a couple more and the air comes right through!!!
Again, I DO NOT recommend you do this as a customer, but I do recommend ProClip look at these suggestions to make a REALLY GOOD…

Blocking the vent is noticeable on hot days. The device holder blocks the windshield wiper lever from going up, but that function is rarely used so not a big deal. 4/5 stars.
