To say there isn't a lot of room in my Mazda MX 5 would be an understatement...so the requirement for proper phone placement was pretty important. I used the instructions on the Proclip webpage as they are in color and a bit easier to read than the black and white photocopied instructions. Installation was pretty straight forward once you see where the enclosed spreader is supposed to be placed. Once in place the mount is in there really well and the quality of the product is excellent. Happy with the results. Overall took about 10 minutes.

I originally started with another dash mount brand for my MX-5. Having previously had a Proclip for my old Mazda 3 though, I knew the other brand was likely not going to meet my wants, and I was properly disappointed when they didnt. The other mount was very small and didnt get in the way of the dash being removed, but being mounted with sticky foam, and pressure from the dash didnt allow the adhesive to hold up more than one day in the southern sun. So after taking the dash apart a second time, I pulled the old mount off and put in the Proclip I had ordered when the other started losing grip. As with my other proclips, to limit overall moving parts to a minimum, I put on a Magsafe wall mount from another company which has just one screw hole in it, and I am very pleased overall. The only issue I have with this particular Proclip is that it spans the dash in an area I will need to remove on an annual basis to change out the cabin air filter, so we will see how things hold up over time as I will have to remove the proclip too.
