Description
This ProClip Vehicle Angled Mount is a custom made car specific mount. It provides the perfect mounting platform for your device holder so you don't have to fumble around for your device anymore. The ProClip Angled Mount is a very sturdy mounting bracket that clips tightly into the seams of the dashboard. No drilling holes or dismantling of the dashboard is required, simply clip on in seconds.

Comes with a pre-drilled hole pattern for device attachment (might not be shown in photo). This is a suggested placement pattern only. A device holder can easily be attached anywhere on the face plate.
Notice: Consider how the device, or horizontal position, will fit the location and could interfere with other vehicle functions.

I have used ProClip mounts in several cars already, so when I purchased a Volkswagen EOS, I immediately went to the site to see if ProClip had a mount for my vehicle. Not one but two different options were available. I elected to go with the lower right side dash mount. This location allowed easy access to the USB port on my RCD360 Pro radio (Needed for Apple CarPlay). When I first tried to install the mount, I wasn't able to make it work, as the mount was left in my garage for several days and it was close to frozen. After applying some heat from a heat gun, I was able to get it hooked into place and snapped into the gap between the radio and bezel (required some bending/squeezing of the mount). Very happy with the fitment.

So I have both clips for my 2006 GTI. They both feel sturdy and fit as the instructions say. Unfortunately due to both VW Soft Touch plastics and ProClip designs the clips. When removed it will peel off the soft touch on some of the plastic.
I didn't realize it till I removed my old vent version and installed the radio dash side version. The adhesive sticks to hold it from moving but it can also peel the soft touch off. Both models removed some of my soft touch when removing and even installing the new one. I would have preferred if this model didn't wrap over the Radio trim with soft touch and only the main support between as it does not have soft touch.
Still looks a lot more factory than most.
PUProClip USAHello Timothy, when properly installed the double-sided tape included on some vehicle mounts is designed to not damage the dashboard in any way. We suspect it may be common for an older generation dashboard to deteriorate quicker than normal due to normal wear and tear. Thanks!
