    great mount, worth the money

Where has this mount been for the last decade? For my Garmin GPS, I used the suction cup until the last few months but it kept falling off the windshield (or plated dash mat). Long ago, I tried those in-vent clip-mounts but they are flimsy and block much of the air flow from the vent. I switched to a mounting bracket off the rear view mirror but it vibrated so much I could not read the GPS screen.

Now, I have the ProClip mount for the left vent in my 2011 Honda Civic. It is as close as perfect as you can get. The GPS and the mount block so little of the air flow that I do not notice the difference. The mount is solid so it does not vibrate making reading the GPS easy (especially since it is placed down low where the 'reading' section of my progressive glasses are located).

I was worried about the angle of the plate being out of the optimal range and thought I might need to get the wedge accessory bring it into the optimal range. Turns out there was no need to worry. The angle of the plate was fine.

Bottom line: ProClip mount & bracket sets are expensive but worth it. Like your parents always told you, 'If you are going to do something, do it right.' I finally did it right.
