The ProClip Subaru Impreza Center Mount is the perfect solution to mounting a cell phone. The mount holds securely onto the dashboard. The location doesn't block the view of the time & temperature displays or the radio/backup camera display. The only thing that is blocked is the view of the hazard light switch; however, access to the hazard switch is not blocked (you can easily access it by sliding a finger under the mount). The closeness of the mount allows the driver or a passenger to follow a Google Maps display on the phone. Even the color of the mount matches the dark gray color of the dash.

I chose the adjustable holder for a device with a rugged case. It holds my phone with half inch thick case firmly while allowing the phone to slip into and out of the holder with ease. The phone inside the holder can easily be rotated from vertical (portrait) to horizontal (landscape) view.

I think this mounting system is far superior to anything else I found and is well worth the cost.

NOTES:

The mounting kit includes two wedge tools to widen the top seam in the dash slightly to accommodate the top angled edge of the mounting bracket.

During installation, pay close attention to the directions. A crucial direction is: if necessary, move the ProClip mounting bracket slightly to the left or right of center to enable both tabs of the top angled edge to fit all the way into the upper seam.
