My ProClip mobile phone mount has steadfastly sat on my 2013 Toyota RAV4 dashboard for ten years. Recently, an over zealous car wash attendant somehow dislodged it. I was heartbroken about the mishap but felt some hopefulness when I discovered that I could purchase replacement double sided tape. I applied the product to the ProClip and successfully remounted it — but after one day, the tape failed. I am once again heartbroken that this wonderful ProClip that has served me well for so many years is now useless. I’m even more disappointed that a reputable company would sell such a shoddy replacement product.
PUProClip USA5 months agoThanks for the review, Roxanne! Glad to hear that your 2013 Toyota RAV4 dashboard mounting base lasted over a decade. Per your description, a car wash attendant dislodged the mount. It's very likely it was broken when bumped and no amount of extra tape can fix a broken mount. The extra tape is used most often when a mount is frequently removed and attached causing the tape to lose stickiness. Replacing the tape on a newer mount works best and will most often cause it to hold better into the dashboard seams.
