Center Dash Mount

Ok, in the absence of Ridgeline owner use recommendations I went ahead and ordered/received the ProClip mount and the powered iPhone holder for rugged cases. I like it a lot.

My only real complaint is the limited adjustments available. The phone mount is slightly adjustable up & down, side to side and rotates 360 degrees. But, the dash mount is not really except for verticle adjustment during the installation. If I was taller than 5'8", the limited adjustment might not be an issue and isn't really an issue, just different than I had before and most likely better.

I "dry" mounted the dash mount and phone mount just to get an idea of any potential problems and the best location for me. I found that there is a potential clearance problem with the window wiper stalk if the unit is mounted too low. The mount positions the phone very close to my right hand and just below my line of sight. Initially, I was concerned about that location but, I have had my steering wheel as high as possible but now it is dropped down an inch or two and I think the location is very good.

After adjusting to the correct size for my rugged case iPhone, the phone slides in & out plugging into the mount's attached lightning cable smoothly. No more fishing and fiddling with a power cable and my former Rube Goldberg RAM mount. To be fair to RAM, the mount has worked very well, it just looks like schit.

Editorial Comment: Hi Jack, Thank you for the review! Just a friendly reminder that ProClip vehicle mounts are intended to be mounted in the location shown in the installation instructions. Any attempt to mount in a different location may interfere with other vehicle functions. Thanks!
