Sturdy, reliable, great holder

Top Adjustable iPhone Charging Holder with USB Cigarette Lighter Plug

Installed in a 2004 VW Jetta GLS with an iPhone 6. Used the holder for 4 years with very good results on both center-dashboard and angled-console mounts. iPhone fit very securely in the holder and consistently charged/connected with the USB charging cord. Charging cord is well anchored, junction points well insulated to protect the cord from fraying/damage. I previously used a non-charging mount, and found Apple charging cords commonly failed. The ProClip charging cable was far more stable/better constructed. Swivel mount is extremely secure; holds its position well. Originally, I used this holder with the Center Dash Mount for a few years, then moved it to an Angled Console Mount so that I could use the center dash mount for a GPS. Device was always within easy reach for fingertip control, angle was easy to adjust and held it's position.

Fantastic! Should have installed this sooner

Garmin Ball Mount

Installed in a 2004 Jetta GLS using a center dash mount. I was slow to give up on the Garmin suction cup mount, should have bailed on that sooner as the ProClip configuration was much better. With the center dash mount, the Garmin was extremely easy to reach to input coordinates, and glance at while driving to reference the map for turns/exits. Ball mount held the angle extremely well, fits the Garmin bracket perfectly -- good snug/secure fit. I could adjust the angle to suit my line of sight, no sun glare. Extremely happy, and I found this to be far superior to the Garmin suction cup mount.

Well positioned for finger tip control

Angled Dash Mount

Installed in 2004 Jetta GLS with iPhone 6. This was a secondary mount - car was also kitted out with a center dash mount which I used for Garmon GPS. Mount was extremely easy to install. Position was great for quick finger tip control, angled well to avoid any screen glare. It was also easy to wrap slack connection wires around the mount to keep loose cords neat and tidy. Mount had the phone literally at my finger tips. Great for answering/declining calls when driving; however, I found the position was too low to comfortably use for navigation (eyes taken off the road too long to glance at map). When not driving, position was very comfortable for texting, reading emails, and do other functions. As ProClip cautions, for larger devices (e.g., tablets), it would interfere with console functions.

Fantastic mount for phone or GPS

5 5.0 out of 5 stars. April 16, 2018

Center Dash Mount

Installed this mount in 2004 VW Jetta GLS, and used it for an iPhone 6 for several years before swapping the iPhone holder for a Garmin GPS holder. Easy to install. Positioning was fantastic! When using it for the phone, device was at my finger tips.

After several years, I changed the car configuration - moved the phone to a center console mount, and used this mount for the GPS. Far superior to the Garmin suction cup mount; and the Garmin GPS was more reliable than the iPhone navigation app. GPS was easier to reach for loading coordinates, was able to get quick glances at GPS and keep eyes on the road.
