Veriha Trucking is a Midwest based fleet carrier with 300+ trucks and roughly 1,000 trailers. The family-owned company provides transportation solutions in 48 states and parts of Canada. Veriha Trucking operates out of four terminal locations to serve a variety of customers and industries. They haul everything from paper products to groceries, produce, pet food, auto parts, and much more.

The Challenge

When the FMCSA ruled that paper logs were to be replaced with e-logs, Veriha Trucking sought the help of Integrated Communications, Inc. to handle their full-scale ELD deployment with a turn-key tablet mounting solution. Veriha needed a solution for mounting to their Samsung Galaxy tablets with Omnitracs-XRS ELD software. They needed to replace each AOBRD with ELD compliant hardware in a mix of Freightliner, Kenworth and Volvo trucks.

ProClip’s Solution

To comply with ELD Mandate and FMCSA rules and regulations, Veriha reached out to Integrated Communications, an authorized ProClip USA reseller, to find a solution that would meet their needs and short timeframe. Integrated Communications has been supplying turn-key field mobility solutions and support since 2004. ProClip was able to provide Samsung tablet mounting solutions that were high-quality and drop tested for rugged use. Each ELD in a box included all parts necessary for FMCSA compliance.

The first part of the ELD bundle, ProClip’s Charging Tough Sleeve Holder for the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 protects the tablet while providing integrated charging and docking in the vehicle. This complete ELD bundle also included the Samsung tablet, 6-inch mounting post, Omnitracs-XRS ELD software and Sprint LTE data connection. Drivers dock the tablet using the Quick Release Power Dock (QRPD). The QRPD provides around the clock charging and allows for high volume one-handed insertion and removal of the tablet. The adjustable post and backer plate provide a sturdy base for securing the tablets to the dashboard and features a 360-degree swivel.

Results

Veriha Trucking deployed the ELD mounting solutions in four locations across a 12-month period. They plan to work with Integrated Communications again when they need to order for additional tablets and trucks.
